Thought I'd move our conversation here Pyro...so we don't take over the match topic. ;D How was QOTSA? I've really wanted to see them but I've always held off on it because I'm not good with big crowds and they just seem like they'd attract some really obnoxious / rowdy people to their performances, just considering the type of band they are (no offense to you, I just mean in general). Same reason I've never wanted to go to a Primus show, even though I like them a lot. I just don't think I'd be able to enjoy the music with all the moshing and whatever other crazy stuff they like to do. I know, I'm such a prude. Well both concerts were awesome, one was in MSG and the other in the Electric Factory in Philadelphia (I was actually lucky enough to get a recording of the MSG show later on). And you are right to a certain extent, there are some rowdy people. But in my experience there rarely are any issues. I too stay away from mosh pits but don't mind being around one. When I went to see Rage Against the Machine in NY last year or Tool a couple of years back, I was a little worried about this (because of the size of the venue and the popularity of the bands) but when I got there I loved every minute of it. You should definitely give it a try, especially if you really love the band. Start in the back and slowly move forward as you gain confidence.

Glad to hear they aren't as wild as they're cracked up to be. I'll have to check them out the next time they're playing around here. The only problem is, I live in Connecticut and no good bands ever come this way. The closest they come is Boston or New York, which is a pretty lengthy drive. I might just have to do it though for QOTSA. EDIT: Just out of curiosity, what's your favorite album by them? Everybody always says Songs for the Deaf, which is great, but I think my favorite would have to be Rated R.

Yeah, you have a choice in most concerts to stay safely away or jump into the storm up front. I can understand sometimes it's better to enjoy the music from the back but there is just something about jumping around, singing and covered in everyone else's sweat. I thought the same about going to Philly but those 2 hours served as a great warm up for the actual concert. Get a couple of friends and it will be even better. I have different favorites for many bands, usually depending on how I got to listen to each album. There is always "Your First" for a band so I love Songs for the Deaf since that is why I started to like them (mainly Dave Grohl touring with them). But all the other albums are special to me as well. The self-titled one is rather simple but still very, very good. Regular John has one of my all-time favorite intro riffs. Rated R has one of my all time favorite QOTSA songs (In the Fade) plus it included both Nick and Mark on vocals so another dimension came to their songs. Lullabies was their first release as me being a fan. But ultimately I'd say Era Vulgaris is my favorite, probably because I've played that album more than any other of their albums. Plus I got to see them twice on tour and two of my all time favorite QOTSA songs are in it (Suture Up My Future and Into the Hollow). So I guess short answer EV.

Interesting... I haven't really gotten into Era Vulgaris yet. Nothing about it really hooked me. There are a few good songs (Into the Hollow is one of my favorites), but nothing about it really draws me in and keeps me from going to another album when I need a QOTSA fix. I might just have to listen to it more.

Is anyone a Green Day fan or listened to their latest album? I just got it and so far it's pretty good. I don't know if it's better than American Idiot but time will tell.

Yea, I bought the album the day it came out (not on purpose, just happened to be out shopping the day it came out). It's not bad. Definitely has some good songs in it, but I don't think it's better than American Idiot. That could be biased though, seeing as it was my first Green Day album.

Rick Astley-"Never Gonna Give You Up" This is all I listen to. You know who gave up? The Cavs. Yea, I bought the album the day it came out (not on purpose, just happened to be out shopping the day it came out). It's not bad. Definitely has some good songs in it, but I don't think it's better than American Idiot. That could be biased though, seeing as it was my first Green Day album. AI was also my true first Green Day album (I have Dookie but I got it about 10 years after it came out and similartly I bought Warning years after it came out)

Too soon? Are the scars yet to heal? Is your bedroom riddled with used tissue paper? Well get over it and root for the Magic!
No really, you should. How can you want a world where Pretty and them are right?!?! In fact, you should be hoping for a sweep by the Magic, to show that it wasn't LeBron folding but him going up against a great team just wasn't enough.

You make a valid point. Pretty is an ass without any ammo to prove a point. I can just imagine the way he will be once the Lakers win.
